In Case of Emergency

Telephone calls after hours should be limited to emergencies and urgent medical problems only. If you have a problem that cannot wait until morning, you should call the home of your pediatrician. Your call may be answered via voicemail, which will provide information about contacting the doctor on call for the evening or weekend.

Here at Meridian Pediatrics, our physicians, nurses, and staff remain here for you and your family during these unprecedented times and are taking additional measures to keep your family’s health our top priority. For additional information, please call our office.

Patients are seen by appointment only. Our office does not accept walk-in appointments. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

We prefer to schedule appointments based upon individual needs and strive to not keep patients waiting. Please be prompt for your appointment. We will do our best to be on time, but occasionally emergencies and other unexpected events may cause us to fall behind. If we are more than 15 minutes behind we will try to explain the situation so that you can determine whether you would like to reschedule.

Well Exam Appointments

  • We are scheduling well exam appointments and sick appointments for different parts of the day;
  • If your child has had a fever within the last 72 hours, please call our office prior to your appointment;
  • If anyone in your home has any sick symptoms prior to your well exam appointment, call our office before coming for your appointment so that our clinical staff may screen you;
  • Only one healthy parent is allowed to bring a patient to an appointment (please call our office with any questions or concerns);
  • We strongly discourage parents or caregivers who are considered at higher risk for COVID-19 (the elderly, people with pre-existing medical conditions) from coming to our office;
  • We ask that siblings who don’t have appointments do not accompany the patient to the appointment;
  • We require that anyone 3 years of age and older entering our office wears a mask;
  • Our waiting area has been spaced to allow families checking in or waiting for their appointment to remain at least 6 feet apart of each other;
  • Our waiting area is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized daily.

Routine Physicals

  • Yearly wellness visits are essential to provide your child with the best possible pediatric care.
  • Each visit includes a developmental, nutritional, social, and physical assessment. For the first two years the visits are timed around the immunizations. After age three the visits are annual.
  • Routine physicals should be scheduled two to four months in advance.

Travel Tips

  • We advise all parents with any child under the age of 18 to travel with either a copy of the child’s birth certificate, passport, or immunization record.
  • This would hold true for domestic or international travel.

  • The doctors give medical advice during office hours.
  • When you call, the medical receptionist will carefully transcribe your concerns in a note to your doctor. The doctor will review the note and instruct the receptionist or nurse to advise you accordingly.
